About me
Deaf. Mom. Human.
Hello! First, thank you for finding my site. I’m excited to get this process started.
First of all, my name is Ash, I’m Deaf, I’m a parent, I use ASL (American Sign Language) as well as my cochlear implants to access spoken English. I work 3rd shift, and my wife works first shift. We have a 2 year old and a 5 year old. I live in Apache Junction, Arizona and work mostly from home.
I’ve had my cochlear implants for over 10 years, and for the most part they have done great for me. I’ve trained my brain how to understand words… but they just… aren’t perfect still. This is why I’m working on getting a hearing dog.
